About Our Farm
At Sol Mariculture, we grow premium, small-batch seafood in the cold, clean waters of Harpswell, Maine. Our farm is rooted in a deep respect for the ocean and a belief that the best seafood comes from farms that give back more than they take.
Using a farming method called Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA), we grow oysters, sea greens, and sea urchins in harmony. By combining species that naturally support one another, we’re not only producing top-quality seafood, but we’re also helping to restore balance to our local marine ecosystem.
The Gulf of Maine is warming at a rate faster than 99% of the global oceans. As our coast faces new challenges from warming waters and shifting ecosystems, we see farming as part of the solution. Each harvest at Sol Mariculture is the result of careful stewardship, regenerative practices, and an artisanal approach that keeps us connected to the roots of the seafood we grow.
We believe Maine seafood should reflect the place it’s from: clean, vibrant, and deeply rooted in the coast. That’s why every oyster, sea green, and urchin we grow carries a story of resilience, flavor, and care.
